Our History

Funnell Electrical Contractors Inc. was originally founded in 1976 by Arthur “Art” Funnell, who began his career in the electrical trade in the late 1950’s. Art built the business from the ground up, operating out of the original shop in Lansdowne, Ontario — a location many in the community may remember as the former gas station and snack bar, now known as the Hill Top Coffee Shop.

Art’s dedication to quality workmanship and honest service established a strong reputation throughout Gananoque, Lansdowne, and the Thousand Islands region. His son, Pat Funnell, continued the family tradition, helping grow the company while maintaining the same values the business was built on.

Today, Funnell Electrical Contractors Inc. is proudly led by the third generation, Adam Funnell. With deep roots in the local community and over 50 years of experience in the electrical industry, the Funnell name continues to stand for reliable, professional, and trustworthy electrical service.

We are proud to serve Gananoque, Lansdowne, the Thousand Islands, Kingston, Brockville, and surrounding areas, and we are grateful for the support our community has given our family business for more than five decades.
